Two of the most requested treatments on our services page are Traditional Thai Massage and Deep Tissue Massage — and clients often ask us which one they actually need. The honest answer depends on what your body is asking for.
How Thai Massage Works
Traditional Thai massage (Nuad Thai) combines rhythmic compression, acupressure along energy lines, and passive assisted stretching similar to yoga. You stay clothed, no oil is required, and the therapist uses their hands, forearms, knees, and feet to guide your body through a series of stretches.
How Deep Tissue Massage Works
Deep tissue massage uses slow, firm strokes and sustained pressure targeting the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It typically uses oil, focuses on specific problem areas rather than the whole body, and is designed to release chronic tension and adhesions ("knots").
Choose Thai Massage If You Want:
- Improved flexibility and joint mobility
- A full-body reset that also calms the nervous system
- A treatment that works well even with clothes on
- Relief from general stiffness rather than one specific injury
Choose Deep Tissue If You Want:
- Targeted relief for a specific chronic tight area (lower back, shoulders, neck)
- Firmer, more localised pressure
- Recovery support after intense gym sessions or long desk hours
Can You Combine Both?
Yes — many of our regular clients in Dubai Marina and Business Bay book our Combination Massage, which blends Thai stretching techniques with deep tissue pressure work in a single 90-minute session. See full durations and prices on our pricing page.
Still Not Sure?
Message us on WhatsApp before your appointment and describe what you're feeling — our therapists will recommend the right treatment before you even book.
